Sit-ups are far from the most effective ab workout. I understand this designed to follow the original 7 minute workout from the NYT, but that can easily be improved upon. Id like to see an exercise library much similar to Sworkit with the ability to customize which exercises to do.
I got it on the promise of it being a great virtual fitness coach and it delivers! Just finished my first workout and I already want to get another one.

I hate going to the gym, but really needed some kind of coach to make sure I was doing what was necessary to make my workout worthwhile, without costing a fortune or taking tons of time. this workout is exactly what I needed. minimal investment, you just need the Moov device. put it on your wrist... it syncs quickly and easily with the app and provides immediate feedback while youre working out. and the coaching in the app is perfect at keeping me motivated. its made working out as close to "fun" as I could imagine it ever being. who knew an app could kick your butt!
I needed something that would get me and my man off the couch and this has already proved to be great! One day down and more to come if I can get him to move all this week this will def be 5 stars!!
It really works well. Its an approachable way to do quick and efficient personal training. Definitely worth the investment!
This app is great for days when I just cant drag myself out of the house for a full workout. Its short enough to power through but you definitely feel like you worked your muscles!
I was thinking about hiring a personal trainer. Worried about the cost. When to meet ect. This little device will push you.
I’ve done 6 workouts using this app - only one of these has saved, and not properly. I did level 1 three times, and all three times it didn’t save, and therefor wouldn’t allow me to move on to level 2. After emailing Moov support with documentation, they told me to delete the app and reinstall and restart my phone. This allowed me to complete level 1, however it somehow added up the 3 previous unsaved workouts and saved it into one giant workout showing 4x the number of reps. Then I moved on to level 2, and once again this workout didn’t save and I can’t move onto level 3. At this point, the app is too unreliable and I have given up trying. I’m using the latest version of iOS (8.3) and the latest version of the app as of 5/8/15. If they fix this bug, I would give the app 3-4 stars. The design of the user interface is nice and the directions are clear. The workouts are certainly effective, but the instructions are repetitive and robotic. The 6 basic exercises are jumping jacks, squats, plank, lunges, pushups, and crunches. You do 3 sets of all 6 exercises, increasing the number of reps in each level as you go. It’s a good, efficient workout, but after 6 sessions, it’s getting boring hearing the same tips over and over again.
Overall a great idea. Provides good workout data overall. Works well if you are not a gym person. The drawbacks are misses the counts and ask you to go to starting position. Voice repetitive and becomes boring. Would have been great if it provides more metrics of measurement. Need integration with iwatch to provide HR and calories brunt
I have used this app almost every day for the past 3+ weeks and Im already starting to see some serious results. I have no doubt that I will be completely ripped before the summer if keep this up. Thanks Moov!!
Needs a level "0" training mode for beginners that gives more time and maybe only one round. Needs ability to swap in different exercises. Would prefer all Moov apps to be one app with a dashboard showing all daily activities.
Great App tracks well and gives decent workout, the only thing its lacking is a variety of workouts. The exact same workout every time but with a different number or reps and intensity gets old quick.
Best bodyweight app Ive used, I recommend it!
